Best Bangkok Street Food: Sukhumvit 38
Let’s get on BTS and meet at Thong Lo Station, the Hip Area with a lot of restaurants and places to eat. Follow us to Soi Sukhumvit 38 which is opposite Thong Lo (Soi Sukhumvit 55). ‘Maew’ mango and sticky rice is popular in this area. This store has been here for over twenty years. Sticky rice is served with coconut milk, topping with mung bean. The mango having a special fragrance for the dish is called ‘Ok Rong’. It goes well with the sticky rice. This is one of Thai desserts anyone shouldn’t miss.
Thai Desserts Mixed with Ice (หวานเย็น)
‘Nong Am’ Thai Dessert has many selections to be mixed with ice such as crunchy ruby (Tub Tim Grob; ทับทิมกรอบ), coconut meat (มะพร้าว), sweet noodles (Sarim or ซ่าหริ่ม), black jelly (Chao Guay; เฉาก๊วย), ginkgo (แปะก๊วย), longan (Lum Yai; ลำไย) and green noodles (Lod Chong; ลอดช่อง).
